Finally Burundi Bound

AT LONG LAST – BURUNDI BOUND!!

It’s been a long time coming……two years of waiting, praying, yearning….little did we know that when we last visited Burundi in August of 2014 (for me) and for John, January, 2015 we would be unable to return to our adopted second home for such a long time!  We never imagined what would transpire in Burundi in the ensuing months, or how our hearts would grieve; how hard it would feel to be so far away, knowing what the people were experiencing.  And yet, God brought us closer than we could imagine, even when separated by half the globe.  Such is the way God works, and how He works!  What man intends for harm, He uses for good.  When others had to leave and ministries dwindled, God expanded and more than doubled the Homecare ministry! 

And now He has given us the opportunity to return once again!  We will depart Wednesday, Sept. 7 -  Bujumbura Bound - returning on Sept. 20.  What a day of rejoicing that will be when we once again sing, praise, dance and pray together with our Homecare family!

And we take your love and prayers with us as we go….

Join us on this much awaited journey!  We will try to send out an update daily (depending on internet access). 

We would appreciate your prayers each day as we travel, reconnect, meet with Homecare and other local leaders, and once again just spend time with “the family.”  What a family reunion!!
